Doctor Of Chiropractic

Stephanie graduated with a Chiropractic Master’s degree from the world-renowned Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, England. Prior to this, she successfully completed a degree in Psychology and Criminology at Coventry University. She has also worked extensively in the care of individuals with disability and learning disorders.

Stephanie knew that she wanted to work closely with people from a young age. She excelled in her study of human psychology but decided that her true passion lay in helping people achieve greater physical health and well being. Her work as a chiropractor in Buckingham regularly reminds her that she made the right decision.

Stephanie’s chiropractic journey has seen her work within a new-born feeding clinic where she liaised closely with Midwives, helping new mothers and their babies with breastfeeding difficulties and providing Chiropractic care to babies when clinically required. Stephanie has most recently worked in a busy clinic in Milton Keynes providing chiropractic care to individuals of all ages from bumps & babies to those in their senior years. She has now gone on to set up the exciting new clinic ‘Thrive Chiropractic’ alongside her husband Garry and they look forward to welcoming you.

Stephanie is a registered chiropractor with the General Chiropractic Council.

I love working as a Chiropractor and believe that people should take a proactive approach in looking after their spinal health. If you have a problem, get it checked. Ignoring it can lead to long-term problems and be more difficult to put right. Look after your spine by keeping physically active and use chiropractic care to help keep your joints supple and your body performing at its best.
My first experience of Chiropractic came after seeing my mum receive treatment for a debilitating low back injury where she had damaged a disc in her spine. I remember how at one point she was unable to get out of bed due to the pain. I attended her visits to the local chiropractor in Devon and remember us both feeling so reassured after her first visit that the Chiropractor could help stop the pain she was experiencing.

I watched her get steadily better with each visit until she was fully recovered. This experience always stuck with me and was the driving force behind my decision to become a chiropractor. I did look into other healthcare professions but decided chiropractic was the one for me. Needless to say, my decision was encouraged and fully supported by my family.
Being a chiropractor provides me with great satisfaction as I get to work alongside so many lovely patients. I help them find the root cause of the problem they are experiencing before devising an individually tailored treatment plan. I enjoy working together towards set goals and seeing individuals return to doing the things that matter most to them in life with confidence.

What I enjoy the most are the times when patients hobble into my office doubled in pain and then walk out feeling much better. It’s a great feeling and huge compliment when people refer their family members and friends to see me and the trust that this shows. I also love hearing our patients say “I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner”.
Stephanie utilizes a range of techniques used by chiropractors including chiropractic adjustments, muscle release techniques, pelvic blocks, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), Kinesio Taping and exercise rehabilitation. She has undergone additional training in chiropractic care for babies and children (paediatrics), Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling) and Activator Technique (instrument assisted gentle spinal manipulation). Her compassion and ability to adapt her treatment to the individual ensures her patients are at ease and comfortable with their care.

Stephanie has a special interest in treating pregnant women and babies. Her own experience as a mother, clinical experience and time spent working within a new-born feeding clinic have added depth to her knowledge on the changes that occur during pregnancy and the difficulties sometimes experienced by mum and baby. This has fuelled her passion for delivering the best possible chiropractic care for mums, bumps and babies when clinically required.

Stephanie continues her professional development by regularly attending seminars and conferences which broaden her knowledge and manual skill set in order to help give the best possible experience and outcomes to her patients.
I have recently become a mum to our beautiful baby girl which means the world to me. Although this means spare time these days is a rarity! I enjoy family walks with our lovely Labrador, taking part in fitness classes and sitting down to read a good book is always enjoyable.

I love returning to my roots when visiting family in Devon and Dorset and taking advantage of the beautiful beaches whilst there. Also visiting my husband’s family in Scotland and taking in as much of the outstanding nature as we can during our visits.
Stephanie absolutely loves to travel and has previously swam with sharks in the Maldives, hiked a glacier and spent time with a Maori tribe in New Zealand.
